Alice Marie Moody

– Sept. 10, 1998
It is so hard to put into words how much this amazing woman meant to all of her family and friends. Mother, wife, daughter, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend. She loved all of her friends and family and cherished the time she spent with all of us. She also loved family history and had a passion for discovering all she could about our ancestors. Her passion for genealogy included trips to cemeteries, the NC Archives in Raleigh, and sharing her love for family at the Moody and Byrd family reunions.
Aunt Alice was a strong woman who inspired us with her drive to succeed as a woman in business. She was loved by her insurance customers and never met a stranger (even while visiting graveyards).
I’m trying to carry on her work on our family history and I hope to cover the web pages here in photos, stories and details about our family. Hopefully she’ll point me in the right direction to find some of those missing links that she always talked about.
